Dr. James received her doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington. After graduating, Dr. James completed an 8-month Externship with a local cardiologist, where she gained optimal knowledge on cardiovascular medicine, and assisted in developing an integrative approach to treat heart disease. Following her Externship, Dr. James went on to practice as a Naturopathic Physician in Family Care and Women’s Health.
Dr. James joined Sound Sleep Health in 2012, bringing a progressive weight loss program, Sound Medical Weight Loss, to the practice. Her interest in weight loss grew with her passion for cardiovascular health, as well as recognizing that most of her patients with heart disease were suffering from undiagnosed sleep disorders, too little physical activity, and toxic eating habits. Dr. James has designed three innovative weight loss programs to meet the unique needs and preferences of her patients.
