It's Important to Replace Your Supplies Regularly, Let Us Remind You When It's Time!
It’s important for your comfort and health that you replace your mask, tubing and filters as recommended to ensure every component is working at its best. Sound Sleep Health can let you know when it’s time to replace your supplies. We are pleased to offer you the convenience of e-mail reminders, but if you prefer a phone call (from a live, Sound Sleep Health employee, NOT a machine), that is an option as well.
The effectiveness of your therapy depends on regular replacement of your CPAP/BiPAP supplies. Over time, natural oils and other residue from your face and hands as well as everyday wear and tear can reduce the quality and comfort of your mask and other supplies. Masks and tubing that are not replaced may develop microscopic holes or tears that can cause leaks or trap bacteria, compromising your therapy and your health. Mask headgear loses its elasticity over time and fails to provide a proper fit for your mask. Filters become clogged and no longer protect you from everyday allergens, dust, pet fur and bacteria. It is important to replace these supplies regularly.
Your insurance provider will typically pay to replace your mask (including headgear), tubing and filters every six months. Additionally, many insurance companies will pay to replace the nasal pillows or cushions for your mask every three months.
If you’d like to receive a reminder e-mail or phone call when it’s time to replace these items, please let us know by e-mailing or calling Lori Heagler, Supply Replenishment Coordinator, at lheagler@soundsleephealth.com or 425-636-2424. Just tell us your preferred contact method and we’ll do the rest!
